Cross River State Head of Service (HoS), Orok Bassey Okon Esq., has responded to reports circulating in the media concerning the Chief Vehicle Inspection Officer (V.I.O) Engr. Ojen Okoi Ayang and Ursula Onah Agbor of Cross River Broadcasting Corporation (CRBC).
In a statement, Mr. Okon announced that both the officer and Ursula have been placed on indefinite suspension without pay pending the conclusion of an ongoing investigation into their alleged involvement in unauthorized private transactions.
The HoS condemned the use of Governor Otu’s name in private and unwholesome transactions, describing such conduct as unethical, unacceptable, and unprofessional. contrary to the core values of the public service.
Mr. Okon reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to transparency, integrity, and accountability in public service operations, warning that any form of misconduct or abuse of office will attract appropriate disciplinary measures.
He assured that the investigation will be thorough, impartial, and conducted in accordance with established public service rules and procedures.
