The Cross River State Election Petition Tribunal sitting at the Federal High Court venue in Calabar, today granted an application by the Labor Party candidate in the March 28 governorship election, Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo, to inspect materials used for polls.
The application was granted by the trial judge today after an exparte application by B. Olusegun, lawyer to the applicant.
Lawyers to the governor elect, Ayade, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC who are respondents in the suit had earlier prayed the court not to grant the application.
The inspection is expected to be done not later than ten days from the day today.
