Barr. Wekekayo Eteng Ekpe, an aide to federal legislator, Hon. Alex Egbona, has been hospitalised after he slumped at an event organised by his principal on Tuesday in Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area of central Cross River State.
Mr. Egbona is a two term member of the National Assembly representing Yakurr/Abi federal constituency.
He is seeking a third term and was hosting an event for members of the All Progressives Congress, APC his party at the Multi-purpose hall of the Federal Polytechnic, Ugep.
Eteng, a former House of Assembly aspirant was in attendance when he slumped midway through the event and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
His condition is remains unknown.
