The Cross River State Border Communities Commission has handed out keys of completed new police stations and medical equipment to communities across the state CrossRiverWatch can authoritatively report.
The Director Legal Services of the Commission, Barrister Paul Asu made this known at Nkerira, Utugwang in Obudu local government area while handing over keys of a new police station to the Clan Head of the community, Chief Clement Abanyam.
Asu told the community that the governor had directed that all completed projects by the Commission “should be handed over” and pleaded that the community hand the keys as soon as possible to the Chairman of Council who will now direct the Divisional Police Officer of the Nigeria Police Force to post officers to the station.
Earlier, Asu had done a similar thing at Okworotung where he listed the completed projects handed over to include:
A Police station with solar powered borehole, quarters and furniture at Kakwel in Obanlinku local government area.
Borehole and School furniture at Busi 2 in Obanliku local government area.
Police station and quarters complete with borehole and furniture at Ikot Inyang, Bakassi local government area.
Borehole and School furniture in New Abana in Bakassi local government area.
Police station and quarters complete with borehole ad furniture at Ntam Obu, Odukpani local government area.
Six classroom block complete with furniture at Ito Eburutu, Odukpani local government area.
Health center complete with medical equipment at Utuma, Biase local government area
Police staff quarters, complete with furniture and medical equipment at Danare 2, in Boki local government area.
Medical equipment for health facility at Mfamiyem, Akamkpa local government area.
Police station and quarters complete with borehole and furniture at Ekureku, Abi local government area.
Borehole and school furniture at Bazohure in Abi local government area.
