Obla, Paul Adah And Owan Enoh Meet Imoke Behind Closed Doors

Three chieftains of the All Progressives Congress on New Year Day met with former Governor Liyel Imoke behind closed doors at Itigidi in Abi local government area of Cross River State.

Okoi Obono-Obla, the Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Prosecution, John Owan Enoh who represents the central senatorial district in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly and Paul Adah who recently declared his ambition to unseat Imoke’s successor, Ben Ayade first arrived Ugep in Obla’s home at about 1:25PM before proceeding to Itigidi.

Unconfirmed information suggests that also in the meeting was Mr. Imoke’s Chief of Staff, Alex Egbonna.

They were received by Imoke who then led them inside and after a short meeting cane out to declare that it was not a political meeting.

“This meeting is not political. As you all know today is 1st January 2018. So they came to pay me a new year visit.

“Beyond politics, we have(a) brotherly connection among ourselves. I am happy for all of you for coming,” Imoke said.

The trio later left and when Governor Ben Ayade arrived at past 4PM, Owan-Enoh returned and went straight to greet him.

Sources within their camps say that Imoke’s statement was “not entirely true as politics and the next elections was not far from the discussion.”

CrossRiverWatch also gathered that Owan Enoh had first stopped to greet the Paramount Ruler of Yakurr, Obol Ofem Ubana before proceeding to see Obla.
