The Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Ben Ayade will flag-off the distributuon of palliatives to Cross Riverians meant to cushion the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the State.
According to a statement by Mr. Asu Okang, Commissioner for Information and Orientation who doubles as the State COVID-19 Media Committee Chairman, the event is slated for today Wednesday 15th April, 2020.
Time is 12noon prompt at the State Food Bank, CROSPIL Estate, State Housing Calabar.
The statement reads, “Accordingly, His Excellency, the Governor has reguested the Special Advisers, Religious Affairs, and that of Muslim Affairs; the leaderships of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) and the Muslim Community in the State, leadership of the State Traditional Rulers’ Council, leadership of the physically challenged in the State, among others, to attend the flag-off and recieve the COVID-19 palliatives on behalf of their people.
“All concerned are to be seated before the arrival of His Excellency and his team. Please, note that attendance to this Flag-off is strictly by invitation.”
