DOPT Officer Rapes 5 Year Old Pupil in Calabar

A five year old pupil of, Miss Monica Solomon was on Saturday allegedly raped by one Mr. Nsa Nsa, an officer of the Cross River State Department of Public Transportation, DOPT in Calabar.

Little Monica Solomon, a primary four pupil of Henshaw Town Primary School Calabar South, was said to have been carried by by his defiler into his house at Ekeng Abia (A) street at mid-night while she was asleep at midnight.

While speaking with CrossRiverWatch, Monica said “I was sleeping when he carried me and then slept on me while covering my mouth.”

Mr. Effanga Edet, Youth Leader, Ward 4 Calabar South while speaking to CrossRiverWatch said: “We have reported the matter at Atakpa police station and we expect an arrest to soon be made”.

But a police man who did not want to be named said, “Yes, the matter has been reported to us but when we went to effect his arrest we discovered he has ran away. We will continue to check until he is apprehended”.

But some neighbors also informed our reporter that the Police may not be able to do anything to Mr. Nsa because according to them, his brother is also a police man who always protects and shield him anytime he gets involved in such criminal acts.

CrossRiverWatch also learnt from his neighbors that, some time last year the said DOPT Officer, Mr. Nsa Nsa, raped his own daughter to the bewilderment of the neighborhood.

All attempts to hear from Nsa Nsa were not successful as his number was switched off.

There is absolutely no reason for you to give the full names and details, including school and class of this victim. What you have done is like a second rape of the victim. Come on, whatever happened to our humanity and professionalism in journalism?

This report is not comprehensive. A five year old cannot be in primary four at that age. I am wondering why this culprit was not detected when he carried this little girl away from her parents house. Why was this same culprit not apprehended and punished when he chose to defile his own daughter.. He should be tracked down by all means. I hereby call on all bodies responsible for the protection of the right of the child to stand up for this case.

@ Obo with o offence as a professional u know house style differs and there nothing as second rape there because she needs the help & attention of all and if her first or last name is used alone it mean any one willing to help will go straight to atakpa and follow up if not they will have to contact the publishers which will surely consume time and resources. I know also there’s no law against that except the media house style.

the said girl might be 5years & in primary 4 because we have those who are early entries to life, what about those 15year students in their second year in unical.

ORIGIN AND CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM
There are more than 3 children staying with miss Monica’s mother, but the children do not have were to sleep, the family of Mr Nsa Nsa now have to take the children in, for about 3 months now because there are well pronounced in the area.
The mother of miss Monica is staying directly opposite Mr Nsa Nsa’s compound, her husband is late so she has a boyfriend that stays with her, and she is still staying in her mother-in-law’s house (her late husband mum’s house) and still brings diffrent boyfriends to the house. The mother-in-law was so angry that she had to order Mr Nsa Nsa as a well known boy in the area, to help her (cos she is old) remove this woman’s (miss Monica’s mum) property from her house. Since he cant refuse her, he removed the property and gave to this woman, so she and her boyfriend was so angry with Nsa Nsa that they had to bring this up. So they will have money (after claimimg damages) to rent a new place to stay, so she (mother of miss Monica) confessed and also said that she was advised to do so by her boyfriend…

WHY MISS MONICA’S MOTHER CONFESSED
Because Mr Nsa Nsa aided in the removal of miss Monica’s mum property, unlike every other days, miss Monica’s mum woke up very early the next day and claim her daughter (who always has not been sleeping with her mum for 3 months now) has been raped by those that had been sheltering her. We all came out as neighbours and saw that there was no sign of rape whatsoever on this girl, she (miss Monica) was taken by we the neighbours to a neaby Matron and the Matron proved that there was no rape on the girl. Yes indeed the police came, but the police insisted they conduct a test and examination in the General Hospital.
At that instance, miss Monica’s mum was scared and she said that they should not go for test, that Mr Nsa Nsa or his family, should just pay her some money (N150,000) and she will end everything. Her boyfriend ran, miss Monica now told us that its her mum’s boyfriend that told her to say what she said. Indeed little miss Monica was playing around healthy and strong still on that day that she was claimed to be raped. But miss Monica’s mum regrets and begs for some money for house rent, because she has no place to stay.

Mr Nsa Nsa is not at large….his phone is not switched off….the police is not looking for him….he is still in his house and lives freely…
