Prof. Jacob Ulayi Agba of the Department of Mass Communication, UNICROSS, has been unanimously elected as Dean of the Faculty of Communication Technology.
He was unanimously elected this morning by lecturers of the Faculty.
The election was officiated by representatives of the University’s Management, led by Prof. Joy Etiowo, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic).
The University’s Registrar, Mr. Victor Ene, and the Deputy Registrar (Senate Affairs) Mr. Ubana Ebri, also assisted to officiate the election.
Prof. Agba will now succeed Prof. Mercy Ugot whose tenure as Dean of Faculty of Communication Technology will expire at the end of this month.
He will be assisted by Dr. Rose Adalikwu who was unanimously elected today as Sub Dean.
Dr. Adalikwu is a Senior Lecturer at the Center for General Studies (GSS).
She will succeed Dr. Michael Nzan-Ayang as Sub Dean.
Dr. Nzan-Ayang’s tenure as Sub Dean will also expire at the end of this month.
Similar elections of Deans will be held today and will continue tomorrow in other Faculties of the University where the tenures of current Deans will expire at the end of this month.
