UNICAL: Dr. Rose Ugbe Appointed Acting Dean Faculty Of Law, Committee Set Up To Look Into Law School Mobilization Issues

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Banku Obi, has approved the appointment of Dr. Rose Ohiama Ugbe, as the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law.

They also set up a Committee to take charge of students’ mobilization to Law School, review, and possibly recall those already sent to Law School.

This is coming on the heels of a recent protest alleging that the suspended Dean, Prof. Cyril Ndifon was a sex predator among other abuses.

The appointment of Dr. Rose takes effect from Tuesday, August 22, 2023, till a substantive Dean is elected.

Prof. Obi in a media parley pleaded with the students, alumni, friends, and parents to give the school a chance to get to the root of the allegations leveled against the alleged sex predator, Prof. Ndifon.
