The Nigerian National Council for Adult Education (NNCAE), in partnership with the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult, and Non-Formal Education, has announced its 2024 annual national conference.
The three-day event with the theme, “Expanding Novel Orbits and the Reach of Adult Learning and Education for Humanization,” will take place from Tuesday, October 8, to Thursday, October 10, 2024.
The conference aims to advance the future of adult education in Nigeria.
Cutting-edge discussions on critical issues in adult education, environmental protection, climate change, agricultural productivity, food security, artificial intelligence, equity and access, sustainable community development, and poverty eradication will be discussed.
The Honourable Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, will deliver the keynote address, followed by the Lead papers presentation by Professor Simon I. Akpama and Professor Dugje Kadir.
The event will be held at the Academic Staff Union University (ASUU) Secretariat auditorium, University of Calabar by 9:AM.
UNICAL Vice-Chancellor Professor Florence Obi is the chief host. While Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Education Professor Arikpo B. Arikpo and Dr. Love Joseph Asor, Head, Department of Continuing Education and Development Studies are co-hosts
