The Young Africa Leaders Initiative (YALI), Cross River State Chapter, is set to inaugurate her excos for the year 2025.
The event, which is scheduled to be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the American corner, Calabar will herald the new dawn of the YALI in the state.
The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) is a flagship program of the United States government, currently investing in Africa’s next generation of leaders.
Supervised by the United State Diplomatic Mission in Nigeria; US Embassy Nigeria and US Department of State, YALI empowers young Africans with skills, knowledge, and networking opportunities to drive positive change in their communities and countries.
The election of the new leaders which was held on Friday, December 13, 2024, saw the emergence of Mr. John Collins Idim as the State Coordinator, Ambassador God’slove-Divine as the Deputy State Coordinator/Director of Partnership.
Others include Comr. Victor Asuquo as Secretary, Mr. John Osu as the Assistant Secretary, Pharm. Mary Obi as Financial Secretary, Hon. Racheal Bassey as Program Officer, Miss Augusta Ezike as Treasurer and Mr. Emmanuel Bassey as Communications and Social Media Manager.
The inauguration will feature awards presentations, induction of new members and among others.
