A yet-to-be identified man has allegedly killed and butchered his friend (name withheld) and packed his body in a sack bag in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State.
The incident occurred on Sunday February 2nd, 2025, around the Spring Road axis of Calabar Municipal LGA.
Reliable sources told CrossRiverWatch that the suspect who is at large withdrew two (2) million Naira from the deceased account unauthorized and when the deceased raised alarm, the suspect lured him to his house (suspect), killed and butchered him into a sack bag in his room.
The stepmother to the suspect was arrested on Monday January 3rd, and detained at State Criminal Investigation Department (State-CID) of the Nigeria Police Force Diamond Hills, Calabar.
The butchered body of the deceased was yet to be identified by anyone at the time of this report.
