The Agba Jalingo Foundation for Investigative and Accountability Journalism (AJFIAJ), is set to host its masterclass on AI, data analytics, and law in communication.
The masterclass is scheduled to hold on 30th and 31st of October, 2025 at Transcorp Metropolitan Hotel, Calabar by 9:00 AM.
The training aims to empower media aides to Governor Bassey Otu, Press Secretaries of councils chairmen/chairpersons, journalists and discursive change agents in Cross River, on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data analytics and Law in communication.
Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State, will be the special guest of honour and other dignitaries.
It will feature topics on ‘Media and Information Literacy’ to be delivered by the Acting Head of Department of Journalism and Media Studies, and Chairman, Management Media Team, University of Cross River State, Mr. Cornelius Ellah.
Al, AI tools, and Data Analytics will be anchored by Monday Ashibogwu, CEO of Billsbox Services Ltd; Fact-Checking, and Investigative Journalism will be delivered by the Deputy Director, Center for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID), Busola Ajibola.
Action Planning, Networking, and Corporate Communication will be handled by Media Consultant, Rasheed Olanrewaju while the Media Integrity, Realities, and the Law will be led by a legal practitioner, First Baba Isa.
