Governor Liyel Imoke this evening at a few minutes to 10pm, arrived the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar aboard a chartered Aero flight.
In what was a closely guarded movement that took even most of the airport senior officials unaware, the governor was said to have walked straight to a waiting vehicle that departed immediately for his official residence in Calabar.
Attempts to confirm his arrival in Calabar from both the state commissioner of information, Mr. Akin Ricket and the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Ita have been unsuccessful but a reliable source say the governor is already resting in his house in Calabar.
Crossriverwatch had earlier reported that the governor arrived Lagos this evening and was expected to arrive Calabar tomorrow morning.
A crossriverwatch reporter who visited the Imoke’s home reported that a coterie of friends and family who were around were excited and jubilant about the governor’s return but prevented journalists from speaking with him.
