Cross River State Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke has charged the newly elected executive committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA in Calabar to live above board as they assume office.
Imoke, who communicated the charge to the new body through his Legal Adviser, Mr. Mark Obi, as contained in a felicitation message, urged them to hold the branch which he noted as one of the oldest in the country with utmost integrity and reverence, stressing, “I urge your team to steer the Association to greater heights”
He charged them to reposition and make it more relevant by offering their professional expertise to the development of the state and nation at large, saying that the role of NBA and its membership in the development of the society cannot be over-emphasized.
Imoke assured them that government will continue to work with them as partners in steering the state to an enduring path of growth and development within the ambit of the law and wished them fruitful tenure of office.
