The Founder/Board Chair, Partnership Opportunities for Women Empowerment Realization, POWER, Mrs. Obioma Liyel Imoke would be the keynote speaker at the Luncheon event of the Conference of the International Association of African NGOS, holding Saturday, September 7, 2013.

The conference was scheduled for September 5-7, 2013, at the Hilton Hotels and Resort, Rockville, MD. She would speak on “The role of NGOS in the economic development of Africa”.

Mrs. Liyel-Imoke, is expected to raise critical development and women empowerment issues in her presentation.

Her work has been recognized internationally. She was recently invited by United Nations Secretary General, Ba Ki Moon to participate in a United Nations conference on education and was also recently appointed Education Ambassador by Mrs. Gordon Brown, wife of the former British Prime Minister.

Her appointment as Education Ambassador was based on her role in ensuring that Cross River State children have access to education, for taking vulnerable children into resettlement homes and ensuring that each and every child was given equal opportunity to go back to school and for establishing the only American International School outside Lagos and Abuja.

She is also expected to share her personal experience on how, through the NGO she founded, Partnership Opportunities for Women Empowerment Realization, POWER, she was facilitating support for women in Cross River State and through this, contributing to the development of the economy of Cross River State.

  • There is nothing international about this Organization—-Its is a simple Nonprofit put together by her associates, one of the avenues through which they launder public resources. If the organization is “international” enough, they should cater for trip. Agba Jalingo, stop embarrassing us repeatedly with all these phoney news about Imoke and his wife…..Imoke & his wife are corrupt…irrespective of whatever you may think they are doing…..Since you are so gullible, i urge you to drop your newly acquired Toga of sycophancy and look up your “International” NGO that has invited Obioma Imoke to address through this website….www.inafricangos.org

5 minutes ago · i had thought you were in the mold of Sowore of SaharaReporters, little did i know you are one of the “Cash&Carry Journalist”….If you continue like this, i can assure you, your news media will be swept away alongside your paymasters by the Prayers of the poor, oppressed amongst us,whose entitlements is been carted away by Imoke and his fellow travellers. You will be better off canvassing for the enthronement of Justice in our society, especially the realization of the emergence of a governor of CRS North extraction. Imoke is deceiving all of you with his political statement….so that when Gershon Bassey eventually emerges, all of you will feel he wasn’t in support….He is secretly working behind the scene…DON’T BE HOODWINKED BY WHAT THE OCTOGENARIAN TOLD YOU OF THE PROMISE HE EXTRACTED FROM IMOKE….IF HE IMOKE COULD ATTEMPT TO RIDICULE THE LATE MT MBU, IS IT OFFOBOCHE….SHINE YOUR EYES MY BROTHERS….AND STRUGGLE FOR WHAT IS YOURS….NOTHING GOOD COMES TO ANYONE…YOU FIGHT FOR IT.
