Senator Ben Ayade, the Senator representing the Northern Senatorial District of Cross River State has facilitated scholarships for Senior Secondary School students in both the sciences and technical education in his constituency for the 2013/ 2014 academic session.
Accordingly, the Senator is requesting youths from the five local government areas of the north who hold five credits in the Junior Secondary School with credits in English, Mathematics and Introductory Technology, Integrated Science, Social Studies, or Citizenship Education to apply for the scholarship.
In a release made available to CrossRiverWatch by his personal Assistant, Dr. Steve Ogar, the Senator said “those who are qualified and interested in utilizing this veritable opportunity to advance their education should register their names in the Constituency Office at 10 General Hospital Road, Igoli, Ogoja from the 6th through the 13th of September for the examination which is scheduled for the 14th of September at the University of Makurdi at 10am.
To facilitate easy movement for the applicants to the examination venue, the Senator said free buses have been arranged in each of the five local government areas of his constituency to take them to and from Makurdi.
