It was about 6pm on a faithful friday 2010, I received a called from someone and this was our conversation.
Caller: Hello evening
Caller: Am I speaking with Dennis Isong
Me: Yes you are on with Dennis
Caller: My name is Engr. Wale Ade (not his real name) A friend of mine recommended you to me, he said you can be of help to me.
Me: I’m always happy to do sir
Caller: I will like to meet with you.
Me: Ok. First, send a mail to me and I will get back to you through email
Caller: Your email please…
I gave Engr. Wale my email. He sent me a mail and these are some part of the email
Email:” I started my company in 1984 and thank God for where I am today but the problem I have now is since 2008, the demand for our products has reduced when I brought in a business consultant to analyze my business, one of the main points he raised was that I am only a local champion and my competitors have taken a larger portion of the market share because I don’t embrace technology particularly the internet.. I need your help”
Today I still consult for Engr. Wale and his business is moving steadily. Because of the results Engr. Wale has gotten from our consulting services, he has deliberately given us several referrals even without us asking for it.
