Super Eagle Head Coach, Stephen Keshi has described the UJ Esuene sports Stadium pitch as ‘unkempt’ for the nature of the match the Super Eagle will play Against the Ethiopia on Saturday.
He however said his boys are poise to get the world cup ticket.
Speaking with sports journalists on Wednesday at the Super Eagle Transcorp camp, Calabar, the head coach said winning the important match is a matter of strategy and rule of engagement.
He said, “Frankly speaking, the pitch is not as good as we left it the last time we played when we got their yesterday with the players.
“It appears as if those saddle with the maintenance are not doing their work because it looks unkempt but that will not disturb us and our plan for the match.”
The stand in Team Captain and goal Keeper, Vincent Enyama said the Spirit of the team is high and they are not under any pressure other than to win the match and get the world cup ticket.
Enyama said Calabar has been a harvest ground for the team and thank the Team’s fans in the Canaan City for their unwavering support given to the Team.
