Cross River born Afro-pop superstar Iyanya celebrated his 27th birthday recently with a visit to Ikoyi Prisons.
The singer was welcomed warmly by the Deputy Comptroller of Prisons, DCP Bamidele and other Warders along with excited inmates.
After the pleasantries, he proceeded into the correctional facility where interacted with the inmates.
Highlights of the visit included his performance with the talented inmates and a pledged to build a recording studio in the prison for the musically inclined inmates.
After the visit to the prison, the celebrations continued in a party organized for the pop star by his Manager, Franklin Ubi where Iyanya was also given one of the most expensive birthday gifts, a $25, 000 Rolex watch from his manager and partner as well as one of the world’s most expensive perfumes from his girlfriend.
