Leaders of opposition All Progressives Congress APC, in Bakassi Local government Area of Cross River State have vowed to send packing the ruling Peoples Democratic Party PDP, in the area due to what the leaders called “large acceptance” of the opposition party by the people.
One of the leaders in Bakassi Local Government, Dr Lawrence Henshaw said supporters and members of the party from the remote villages are anxious to give APC a shot after 16 years of divide and rule and total neglect of the rural dwellers by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Bakassi in particular and Cross River State in general.
Henshaw who described the last registration exercise of the party as a smooth and rancor-free exercise, assured members of the party of electing acceptable chapter and state officers.
He said there is need for a radical change In Nigeria which was part of why Bakassi people embraced APC as an alternative party to show good leadership in Cross River State in particular and Nigeria in General.
He said APC will bring the desired change to show the outgoing Imoke’s administration how government of the people should be led by a trustworthy and accessible Leader and not a cabal holding the people to ransom.
