Reports reaching CrossRiverWatch from Obudu say armed robbers have invaded the Obudud branch of Zenith Bank and are currently inside the bank with some gun wielding men keeping watch by the road and shooting sporadically.
Our reporter who is currently standing at the animal junction, hospital road Obudu say he can hear the sporadic gunshots from his location and students from the Federal College of Education, Obudu where the bank is located are already scampering for their safety in their numbers.
The police in Obudu are also said to be on the run because according to one of them, the police does not have the kind of weapons the robbers are using.
Attempts to reach the DPO in obudu were not successful as his phone is switched off.
