The leadership and entire members of the Association of Cross River Online Journalists, ACROJ, feels obliged to congratulate Senator Ben Ayade on his emergence as the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in Cross River State.

In a statement in Calabar today signed by the Chairman of the association, Mr. Iwara Iwara, the group said: “It is important that while we congratulate him, we must indeed remind him that his victory at the primary is only half of the journey.

In the days ahead, articulate efforts will have to be made to convince Cross Riverians that the PDP’s candidate has the capacity to positively reverse the dwindling fortunes of our state.

We are duty bound to partner with whoever becomes governor of Cross River State in the long run so that together, our collective effort at state building will find better expression.
