In a bid to develop local content and boost internally generated revenue, the Cross River State Tourism Bureau has signed a musical agreement with the Rising Stars Cross Band.
The agreement which will see the band become the official musical partner of the state’s tourism bureau, has a clause which will see the bureau own 20 percent of the proceeds from the band’s performance fees and album sales.
Speaking at the signing ceremony held at the conference room of the state tourism bureau located in the Okoi Arikpo house, Calabar the Managing Director Mr. Michael Williams reeled out his expectations.
His word: ”What we have seen so far is quite okay, we hope the public likes it also, as we project you through recommendations and all we hope to drive up the internally generated revenue profile of the state, if this works, it will be a template for future collaborations, so consider yourselves laboratory rats.”
