Mr. Asuquo, who is the PDP candidate for the Federal House of Representatives, Akamkpa/Biase federal constituency expressed happiness and high hopes that the development will be fruitful to his constituency and the state at large as well as build a cordial relationship between the 7 local governments that make up the southern senatorial district.

His words: “As a member of this constituency who actively took part in ensuring that this injustice is properly corrected is here today to celebrate the fact that God has answered our prayer, this is the first time in a democratic setting that we will have a deputy governor in the midst of the 5 Alive (Odukpani, Calabar South, Akpabuyo, Bakassi and Calabar Municipality), you know we have 7 LGA’s in the south and 5 are Efik speaking and the Akamkpa/Biase are more like one common people, Biase was created out of the old Akamkpa, We are now one because I believe now it’s the 7 Alive no more 5 Alive, fairness and equity have come into play.
