The Paramount Ruler of Yakurr Local Government, Obol Lopon Ojong Inah has been confirmed dead by sources in Ugep.
The highly revered monarch who is thought to have died in the early hours of this morning has been ailing for sometime.
A source who spoke to CrossRiverWatch said it was traditional not to immediately announce the death of a monarch of that status until all necessary traditional arrangements are concluded.
Details of his demise and burial arrangements were still sketchy but CrossRiverWatch will bring you more information as we get them from the family.
