The Speaker, Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. John Gaul Lebo has said that the House under his leadership in the past three has passed over 9 bills into law.

In an update on his facebook timeline earlier today, the Speaker said six out of the nine acts are revenue generating laws that have also created new regulatory agencies that will engender employment as well without touching the existing state revenue.

In the update, the Speaker said, “I remain extremely grateful to the 24 members of the Cross River State House of Assembly for the support and cooperation my leadership has received from them.

“In less than 3 months, we have passed over 9 Bills into law as part of the laws of Cross River State. 5 of the laws are revenue generating laws in new areas that the state was not receiving any form of revenue.

“6 of the laws have created new regulatory agencies for the state in virtually new development regimes. Truly, the Governor can lift the ban on employment and employ young professionals of Cross River State origin without touching the existing state Revenue.”

The Speaker commended governor Ayade for his vision for the state. “We must commend His Excellency Senator Ayade, Governor of Cross River State for his visionary leadership and design thinking. Indeed the clarity of The Governors vision has laid a strong foundation for Legislative Architecture.”

The House has not gone on recess till 1st week of October.
