The Speaker of Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. John Gaul Lebo has told the Cross River State Chapter of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) to help launder the image of the state.

Hon Lebo who made the remark yesterday when a delegation from the Institute paid him a courtesy visit in his office, added that Cross River was blessed with potentials which have made the state a unique brand to market to the rest of the world.

He urged the Institute to also help promote the programs and policies of the Ayade administration as well as help to correct negative perception about the government.

The Speaker assured the NIPR of support and cooperation towards realizing its mission and reiterated the need for greater cooperation from all stakeholders.

Speaking earlier, the President of the NIPR Cross River State Chapter, Mrs. Obo Edet, said the visit became necessary to enable the Institute highlight to the Speaker, the challenges confronting the body.

She listed the challenges as lack of a befitting Secretariat and operational vehicle among others while soliciting the assistance of the House of Assembly.
