The Paramount Ruler of Akamkpa Local Government Area, the Cross River State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ntufam John Okon among other sons and daughters of Akamkpa, have been inducted into the Community’s Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame award ceremony was organized by Stand Out International Magazine published by Mrs. Kate Offiong.
The Publisher while giving her opening remark at the occasion, revealed that the magazine whose aim is encouraging people of all ages and race to be the best they can be in their chosen endeavors has survived eight years.
She maintained that the award is part of her effort to pay back to her community by recognizing indigenous Akamkpa sons and daughters who have contributed in a way to the development of their community.
Other awardees include: Ntufam Emmanuel Nyong Edem, Ntunkai Grace Eyo-Ita (wife of late Prof. Eyo-Ita), Dr. Raphael Ayama Offiong, Late Ntufam Christopher Effiong Offiong, Late Ntufam Cecilia Udokai and Miss. Jennifer Ekpenyong.
Speaking on behalf of the awardees, the representative of Ntunkai Grace Eyo-Ita, Comrade Paul Effiong, said the award is one worthy of making everyone reflect on the contributions made by those celebrated.
