Tension Grows As Another Person Is Feared Dead In Obudu Gang War

A tense atmosphere is enveloping Obudu local government area as sources have informed CrossRiverWatch that another person has been gunned down this morning in the ongoing criminal gang war.

This comes less than 12 hours after governor Ben Ayade’s in-law, Dave “Malcolm Daddy” Ishamali was shot dead and a liquor store belonging to one AKBC razed.

Today’s shooting occurred in the early hours of Monday along Ogoja road.

The victim is yet to be identified with unconfirmed information suggesting the Police has been alerted about the incident.

It is also alleged that the victim is a member of Baggars Confraternity, same as Ishamali with the rival Klans Confraternity fingered for the killings.

Police are said to have intensified patrol across major streets in the urban areas while some of the known criminal gang members have fled into hiding.

Efforts to get information from relevant government sources failed as calls to the phone lines of the Security Adviser to the LG chair, Patrick “Spokesman” Agogo did not connect.
