The nomination of former senate leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba for the position of chairman of the board of NDDC by President Muhammadu Buhari has been commended and described as a right choice by former governor of Cross River State, Clement Ebri.
Ebri, a member of the All Progressives Congress Board of Trustees disclosed this Sunday, in a telephone call to CrossRiverWatch where he also lauded Governor Ben Ayade for restoring calm to the state through the “Operation Show Of Force” following a wave of gangstars rivalry, kidnappings, abductions and dare devil robberies which left no fewer than 20 dead and properties running into millions of Naira either destroyed or carted away.
Describing Ndoma-Egba as a “consistent man who has risen to the top of his career through hard work”, Ebri said he had no doubt he will succeed in his new duty post and congratulated President Buhari for “Finding him worthy and fit to head the NDDC”.
On the security situation in Cross River State especially Calabar, Ebri lauded the strides made by the Ayade’s administration to return to normalcy, the security situation which had degenerated until the launch of the “Operation Show Of Force” which saw regimented officers of the Army, Air force and Navy join forces with the Police and other paramilitary organizations to restore peace.
