President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr. James Ejue as the new Provost of the Federal College of Education, Obudu.
The Minister for Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu disclosed this to Journalists last week Friday at Abuja with a statement from the Deputy Director of Press in the ministry Ben Goong stating that the appointment is with effect from August 19, 2016.
James Bassey Ejue, aged 52 holds a Doctorate Degree in Guidance and Counselling in 2003 from the University of Calabar, Calabar and until his appointment, was in his second year as provost of the state owned College of Education Akamkpa.
His appointment puts to bed months of tension which had enveloped the College’s atmosphere since last year August and doused only a few months ago following the death of the former provost, Chief Eugene Ibli who had reportedly refused to hand over administrative powers as directed by the Colleges of Education board.
