The Cross River State Police command has confirmed a robbery attack on the branch of Eco bank located at Marian market in Calabar.
CrossRiverWatch had gathered that robbers attacked the area at about 7:10 PM Saturday, with a caller notifying local broadcast outfit Hit FM who warned residents and people plying the route.
When CrossRiverWatch contacted the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Irene Itohan she terminated the call after introductions but when our correspondent sent her a text concerning the situation, she replied in confirmation of the incident and the action the Police had taken.
“Our men are already sent” the text read.
