The Vice Chancellor of the Cross River State University of Technology (CRUTECH) Prof. Owan Enoh has stated that those who seek admission into CRUTECH should brace up as students in the school “are no longer awarded grades but now earn their grades”.
The former Provost of the Cross River State College of Education, Awi/Akamkpa stated that his administration is doing all within its powers to stamp out “cash-for-grades” and “sex-for-grades” practice that the institution has been notorious for.
Barring his mind during a radio program “The Dialogue With Agba Jalingo” Prof. Owan stated that with the introduction of “conference marking” lecturers are now demanded to mark their script in an open place with other lecturers with the Head of Departments supervising, minimizing the possibility of anything fishy happening and increasing the chances of results being released as soon as possible.
The Vice Chancellor pleaded for support from the members of the public, as he does not “have a hundred eyes and ears” and enjoined them to report any illegality to the appropriate authorities and will get his backing if it is legitimate.
