The commissioner for water resources in Cross River State, Gabriel Odu-Oji has been kidnapped CrossRiverWatch authoritatively reports.
Mr. Oji left home to Mayne Avenue in Calabar South local government area Sunday morning to eat at a restaurant he usually patronizes and unknown gunmen stormed the area and kidnapped him reliable sources informed CrossRiverWatch.
This comes barely 24 hours after Cross River Governor, Senator Ben Ayade directed the relocation of anti-crime outfit, “Operation Skolombo” to Calabar South area to checkmate gangstar activities as well as other rising security threats.
Ayade had suspended him indefinitely in August, 2016 for failing to show up at work at 9:00 AM but findings by CrossRiverWatch had revealed Mr. Gabriel had taken permission to travel to Obudu, Ayade’s hometown to inspect work on the water projects.
However, he continued attending EXCO sessions and no statement was ever issued concerning his reinstatement.
More details about his kidnap later…
