UNICAL Vice Chancellor, Zana Akpagu Knighted

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Professor Zana Akpagu has been knighted.

Zana, a member of the Roman Catholic Church last weekend became a Knight of Saint Mulumba following the completion of the initiation rites as stipulated in the constitution of the order.

He was decorated at the St. Bernard Catholic church, Marian Hill Calabar.

He becomes a member of the Calabar Sub-Council of the order founded on June 4, 1953 by the late Reverend Father Anslem Isidahome Ojefua, a Catholic monk in the Illah Diocese monastery in present day Delta State.

The knighthood status means Professor Zana is expected to live an exemplary life, seek justice for the downtrodden, help the poor and defend Catholic doctrine among others.
