According to information available to our newsroom, Mr. Ugbe was kidnapped at the burial of his wife’s younger brother (Fidelis) mother-in-law at Ikot Ansa Calabar Municipality.
An eye witness told CrossRiverWatch that while the burial was on going, five armed men stormed the venue, inquired to know who owns a car parked outside or they will kill everyone.
The car which belongs to Pat was identified by him, then he was bundled into the car taken away by the gun men.
As at the time of filling this report no information was available either from the police or the family.
It was also not immediately clear whether any demand for ransom has been made.
