The Director General of the Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency (CRSPHCDA), Dr. Betta Edu has stated that the construction of the Calabar Pharmautical Company (CALAPHARM) is a plus to the health sector of the State.
The DG made this known on the sideline of the inspection of work in the complex by the Acting President, Yemi Osinbanjo recently in Calabar the Cross River State capital.
Betta stated that CalaPharm is the pharmaceutical company which will be producing all the drugs, all the health facilities that would be used by her agency and that the coming of the Acting President is an endorsement of the job being done.
Her words, “I am glad that today the garment factory will be opened officially by the President, that CalaPharm will be inspected will be the beginning of more and more better health care which Ayade promised Cross Riverians”.
Adding that, “Here we are going to produce drugs which will be distributed to health facilities across the State and people can have access to quality health care services which includes provision of drugs”. She said.
She added that Cross River State is blessed, as in less than 2 years the State has had the rare opportunity of hosting the President and Vice President to commission projects and that proves the faith the federal Government has on Senator Ben Ayade.
She encouraged Cross Riverians to be patient as more and more projects will be commissioned to the betterment of the citizens.
