The Canaan Table Tennis club will be returning home as second best in Africa after losing to Al Ahly Table Tennis club of Egypt earlier on Friday.
The Chairman of the Calabar Sports Club, Orok Duke in a short statement to CrossRiverWatch said that the Canaan Table Tennis Club lost to the Al Ahly Table Tennis club of Egypt 1-3 in the finals of the African Table Tennis championship held in Agadir, Morocco.
The club which represented Nigeria in the tourney as national champions had departed Calabar, the Cross River State capita on Monday and expressed confidence that they will return with laurels; a promise they will fulfill by returning home with Silver medals.
