We Can See What Ayade Is Doing – Obasanjo

By CrossRiverWatch Admin

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Monday, commissioned the Skyrun Ultra modern freezers complex in Calabar and used the occasion to eulogize governor Ayade of Cross River state.

The former President was back in the state for the second time in one month to commission the first industrial revolution freezer equipments, complete with over 200 Modern industrial freezers.

Speaking during the event, the former President said “I thank the Governor profusely for inviting me, not once, not twice to come to share his success. By your reaction here, I know you understand and you are grateful for the personal sacrifices that he made.

“we can see what some of the Governors are doing and we can compare it to other places.

“I am very impressed with the professional description by the Commissioner for Commerce, Hon. Peter Egba, how he has done the industrial layout and how he has done the equipment to make it last.

“This shows great commitment and God almighty will reward you for your good intentions and for your love for your state.”

Also speaking, Hon. Peter Egba, said, “One of the things we have deliberately done is to put our resources where they will have maximum impact on the lives of our people.

“For us, government responsibility is to focus on those things that will deliver the greatest happiness to the greatest number of citizens in the shortest possible time.

“As you can see, this is not a ghost project, but this project will touch lives. There are the ones we use for census purposes so that we can attract revenue allocation. They are the ones who queue to vote, whether it is raining or it is sunny, without whom we democrats cannot be in office.

“But oftentimes, when they have finished, they are forgotten until the next four years. We have tried to bond with them by addressing the critical areas of their needs. That informed the choice of this area.”

Egba continued, “I am glad that this project is now a success, and will make the lives of hundreds a lot easier. I want to thank the Governor, I want to thank Cross Riverians for their support without which it could have been impossible to do some of the things we had to do.

“I am grateful to Mr. President (former) for graciously accepting to come to commission this major project.”
