The Cross River State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Dr. Frankland Briyai has commended members of the Association of Online Journalists (ACROJ) for balanced reportage.
The Cross River REC gave the commendation Tuesday in his Calabar office while playing host a delegation from ACROJ.
According to him, “You people are trying, I like you anyway, the reports I’ve read so far are quite balanced.”
Frankland went on to express his readiness to work with the union as he urged the delegation to ensure that ACROJ is properly documented by his public relations department.
He maintained that his office is ready for 2019 elections as all the requisite capacity needed is in place with some of his team members currently undergoing a train-the-trainers workshop, some outside the country, others within the country.
Earlier, the ACROJ delegation led by the Acting Chairman and Secretary, Comrade Hope Obeten and Comrade Archibong Jeremiah respectively, invited him to inspect ACROJ’s Election Reporting Situation Room (ERSR) and lauded him for his strides since resumption of office in the state.
