The 31st convocation ceremony of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) earlier slated for Saturday, March 10, 2018 has been postponed a statement from the Varsity’s management says.

The release dated March 6, 2018 and signed by the University Registrar, Mr. Moses Abang, said the postponement was due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

However, these were not elucidated in the release made available to CrossRiverWatch.

“Management sincerely regrets any inconveniences caused our visitors, granduands, awardees, parents and the general public,” the statement read.

“A new date will be announced late,” the Varsity said.

But, CrossRiverWatch gathered from sources in the Varsity that the institution is yet to organize her matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students and this may have formed part of the reason for the postponement of the convocation.
