The Enyimba football club of Aba will today hosts Ifeanyi Uba football club at the U.J Esuene stadium in Calabar in its Match day 18 game of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Enyimba currently sit ninth (9) on the log after 17 games with 27 points, 10 adrift of league leaders, Lobi Stars who have garnered 37 points in 19 games.
They will host Ifeanyi Uba who have won as many games as they have lost with 5 draws and currently sit 12th on the log with 26 points from 19 games.
A win for the home side who thrashed Djoliba FC 2 goals to none during Sunday’s CAF confederation cup group stage match will see them cut the deficit to just seven points with 20 games left to play; one more than Lobi Stars.
The People’s Elephant will be anticipating building on Sunday’s continental success after a thumping shot from Isiaka Oladuntoye in the 48th minute and a penalty by Stanley Dimgba in the 81st minute after Freedom Omofoman was brought down a minute earlier.
