“When we think of Bakassi we get angry, after Nigeria Army and Cameroonian Gerndaimes have fought for years, ceding it to Cameroon is a disservice to Cross Riverians.”
This is an assertion made by His Royal Majesty, Obol Lopon of Ugep and Paramount Ruler of Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State, Obol Ofem Ubana in an exclusive interview with CrossRiverWatch TV where he expressed displeasure with the fact that those affected have not been properly resettled.
The Yakurr monarch called on the Federal Government to properly resettle the Internally Displaced Persons IDPs, affected by the ceding.
