Ahead of the 2018 edition of the Leboku festival, the Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on prosecution, Mr. Okoi Obono-Obla has sponsored the festival’s football tournament with NGN500,000 and kits.
Leboku is the Lokàá translation of the Ugep new yam festival in Yakurr local government area of central Cross River State while the football tournament is called the Ijiman Okurubong football competition.
Ijiman is one of the wards in Ugep community of Yakurr local government area of central Cross River State.

And, Obono-Obla who kicked off the tournament at the Ijiman field opposite the Apostolic primary school, Ugep donated jerseys, boots and balls to each of the ten participating units.
Also, he doled out NGN50,000 to each of the teams totaling NGN500,000.
