Unknown gunmen on Wednesday, shot dead a popular pastor, Thankgod Abam in his PortHarcourt, Rivers State residence.
Mr. Abam is a native of Lebulibulikom Ijiman of Ugep community in Yakurr local government area of central Cross River State.
CrossRiverWatch gathered that the unknown gunmen stormed Mr. Abam’s residence and met him with his wife and four children but only shot him from close range and departed without taking anything along.
Mr. Abam is said to have been rushed to an unnamed hospital in a state of coma and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
He is said to have been preparing for the dedication of his fourth child which was slated for tomorrow.
Abam was said to have enjoyed favors from powers close to the Goodluck Jonathan’s presidency and visits his hometown for the Leboku festival with an armed convoy.
