The member representing Ogoja/Yala federal constituency in the National Assembly, Honorable Jarigbe Agom has said that “Some people from Southern and Central senatorial districts of Cross River state are trying to insult the sensibilities of the Northern Cross River man.”
He went on to deny insinuations that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gave automatic ticket to serving federal legislators.
Mr. Agom disclosed this in an exclusive interview with CrossRiverWatch on Wednesday where he said the party only called for sitting legislators to be given the right of first refusal.
“The news making the rounds about automatic ticket is a figment of someone’s imagination and party primaries should be participatory,” Agom said.
Agom who recently declared his intention to seek a second term in office also spoke about loyalty to the party.
