Cross River Governor, Senator Ben Ayade has appointed the founder of the La Shakara fashion brand, Mr. Joseph Edet as his Senior Special Assistant on Entrepreneurship and Job Placement.

Also, Mr. Ayade appointed Mrs. Margaret Kajang as Special Adviser on Aviation while Cyril Manyor Bassey was appointed the Special Assistant on Security in charge of Ikom local government area.

A statement signed by his spokesman, Mr. Christian Ita issued on Monday in Calabar said the appointments are with immediate effect.

Mr. Edet had contested the primary elections for the position of the member representing Calabar Municipal/Odukpani federal constituency on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party PDP and lost to incumbent lawmaker, Mr. Eta Mbora.

His appointment, sources in Government House Calabar say, is to serve as compensation especially as he is viewed as a huge supporter of the governor having provided branded clothing for his campaign so far.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Kajang is the wife to Mr. Amos Kajang who had served as Special Adviser to Mr. Ayade on Aviation.
