Information reaching CrossRiverWatch suggests that a factional Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Matthew Achigbe is dead.
Achigbe alongside others yet to be identified, are said to have died in a ghastly motor accident along Afikpo road in Ebonyi State reports FearlessReports.
The state publicity secretary, Mr. Bassey Ita did not pick calls to his phone when contacted. He had earlier told FearlessReports that: “Yet to confirm.”
However, images published by FearlessReports and obtained by CrossRiverWatch showed corpses and mangled vehicles with one looking that of Mr. Achigbe.
Achigbe who hails from Obubra is said to have been traveling home for a meeting when the sad incident happend.
But, some APC members contacted said the information is “a rumor.”
Calls to the phone line of Mr. Achigbe did not connect either. When dialled, the operator said the number is switched off.
Achigbe has had a running battle with Mr. Etim John on who is the actual chairman of the party in Cross River State.
