AFRICANISM: Ayade Opens 2018 Carnival Calabar And Festival In Style, Says West Is Past, East Asia Present And Africa The Future (PICTURES)

The Cross River State Governor Senator Ben Ayade has postulated that “The Western world is the past, East Asia is the present and Africa indeed is the future. Therefore Africa holds a lot of promise to the world.”

Governor Ayade made the foreshadowing in Calabar yesterday while declaring open the Carnival Calabar and Festivals 2018 with the theme “Africanism”.

Buttressing his point he said, “Civilization started from Africa, writing started from Africa.” Maintaining that Africa as a continent is a gold mine.
